A delicious, textural and well-balanced blend of 87% syrah and 13% grenache. On the nose it shows aromas of dark cherries, stewed meat and baking spices with some bay leaves. Medium-bodied with finely grained tannins. Focused and well driven with an elegant texture, good concentration and a vivid core of peppercorns bringing vitality to the finish. Drink or hold.

The Syrah-based (92%, with 8% Grenache) 2016 Ventoux Cuvee Bramefan spent 10 months in barriques, but the oak influence is subdued. Hints of vanilla and cedar accent blackberries and blueberries on the nose, while the medium to full – bodied palate is ripe and silky in texture, leading into a long, softly tannic finish.2
